We are excited to introduce ourselves as a new affiliate of the Institute for School Innovation. Schools can continue to benefit from both programs independently or integrate them for expanded results. Innovation

Both Project CHILD and The Grow With Guidance System are innovative approaches that take education and student learning to the next level. The innovative plans:

Invitational Education

Invitational Education is a core component of The Grow With Guidance System and a core component of the philosophy of Project Child. Both Dr. Butzin and Dr. Radd are "long-marchers" in the researched benefits of climate and the invitational education framework.

Project CHILD and The Grow With Guidance System are based in best educational practices from numerous disciplines within education. The core of both models has a strong emphasis on child development and focuses on working with the whole child. This requires an integration of learning from all domains that is a foundation of both models.

The Mission of Grow With Guidance is to provide an innovative approach to education that develops students' spirit, purpose, and potential, The Grow With Guidance System. Our goal is to facilitate a vision of education that addresses the whole child who can function, contribute, and succeed in today's world. Framework

The Grow With Guidance System, Pre-K–12 and Beyond, is an innovative, comprehensive, research-based guidance system based on prescriptive need, student/staff involvement, and child development. The system can be implemented with the total staff to assist students in developing maximum potential in physical, social, emotional, and intellectual domains as well as producing positive effects on classroom climate, communication, and career development. The system focuses on the development of personal, emotional, behavioral, and social skills in a longitudinally implemented plan in concert with academic best practice.

The Grow With Guidance System presents a systematic and realistic approach for laying the foundation for such important concepts as:

System Model

The System Model includes a positive Behavior Management Plan, Self-Talk/Self-Picture Plan, Staff Implementation Plan, Student Curriculum Plan, Family Involvement Plan, and an Accountability Plan. The unique self-concept development process, the Self-Concept Series and Weave, is integrated throughout The Grow With Guidance System. Invitational Education and the essential role of class and school climate is a primary focus of The Grow With Guidance System. The Invitational Educational Framework and Assessments are integrated and included in the System Manual.

Assessments and Reports

The Grow With Guidance System includes three researched quantitative assessments and numerous qualitative assessments that build on the system standards, benchmarks, and indicators. The three pre/post quantitative assessments are:

Grow With Guidance provides computer scoring and necessary reports for two of these assessments, CANA and ITS. This scoring service provides you with the longitudinal data we have needed for years.
