National Demonstration Sites
The Institute for School Innovation is proud to select National Demonstration Sites and Exemplary Visitation Sites each school year. These sites host visitors to showcase innovative methods for school improvement.
National Demonstration Sites are schools that have been successfully implementing CHILD for multiple years as a widespread model. Exemplary Visitation Sites have at least one year of successful implementation in at least six classrooms. The schools have demonstrated positive results with CHILD in the following areas that are aligned with the No Child Left Behind Act:
- Documented academic success for students
- High degree of student involvement using technology and hands-on learning
- Professional leadership by highly qualified teachers and administrators
- Strong focus on reading
- Positive student behavior
