8 New Imagine/CHILD Charter Schools to Open Next Year Unique Evening Rose Community Chosen for First Tallahassee Site
ISI, Imagine Schools, and K2UrbanCorp, along with friends and supporters gathered for a press conference to announce the Tallahassee K-8 CHILD school. Imagine Schools and ISI are fast becoming the new dynamic duo. Imagine has chosen Project CHILD as the instructional model for eight of its Florida charter schools scheduled to open in August. They will be located in the following counties: Broward, Indian River, Lake, Leon, Pasco, Pinellas, St. Lucie, and Sarasota. The Tallahassee site is especially exciting to CHILD founder, Dr. Sally Butzin. “I am so grateful to finally have a Project CHILD school in my home town. Now parents will have a choice for an awesome educational experience for their children. And being located at Evening Rose is the icing on the cake!” Another plus is that ISI’s former Director of Training and Client Support, Suezan Turknett, will be the principal. K2 Urban Corp is developing Evening Rose as an innovative green community within the urban core. The development includes a diverse mix of homes, live-work homes, town homes, and commercial space with shops and restaurants – all within walking distance. A day care center and the Imagine Charter School complete the vision to create an environmentally friendly neighborhood in which to live, work, and learn. http://www.k2urbancorp.com/ K2 Urban Corp Home Developers, Imagine Schools and Project CHILD unite to build a school in Tallahassee. http://www.imagineschools.com/ Imagine Schools, go here to enroll your child.
